This Privacy Policy explains how Can9 Bioengineering Inc., doing business as Kindred and Kindred Companion Sciences ("Kindred," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit kindredcompanion.com (the "Website"), join our interest or contact list, complete a form, or contact us.

Kindred is a companion-animal biotechnology company based in New York, United States. Our Website provides public information about our work and lets people share their interest in receiving company updates and related communications.

Information you provide directly. When you complete a form or contact us, we may collect:

• Your optional answers to interest questions, including whether allergy has limited your ability to own or live with a dog, and whether you are interested in service, assistance, or working dogs (for each, you may answer "Yes," "No," or "Prefer not to say")

Answering the optional questions is entirely up to you. Joining our list or submitting a form is not a reservation, application, purchase, deposit, or indication of eligibility for any future Kindred dog or program.

When you visit the Website, the providers that host the Website, run our forms, deliver emails, protect the Website, and measure basic Website usage may automatically receive limited technical information — such as IP address, browser or device type, referring website or campaign, approximate location, pages viewed, and basic usage data — as part of operating, securing, maintaining, and understanding use of the Website. We do not ask you to submit, and you should not send us, detailed medical records, genetic information, biological or veterinary samples, veterinary records, or other detailed health information. The optional allergy question is provided only to help us understand interest in our work. It is not a request for medical information and is not intended as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• maintain an interest and contact list;
• understand interest in our work;

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We also do not share your personal information with unrelated third-party marketers for their own independent marketing.

These providers may access information only as needed to perform services for us. Our form submissions are currently handled by Basin, our Website analytics are currently handled by Plausible Analytics, and our form security and bot-prevention protections are currently supported by Cloudflare Turnstile.
• For legal and safety reasons, where we believe disclosure is required by law or legal process, or is reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or security, to prevent fraud or misuse, or to respond to a lawful request.
• In a business transaction, such as a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
• With your consent or at your direction.

Cookies and Analytics

The providers we use to host the Website, run our forms, deliver emails, protect the Website, and measure basic Website usage may use cookies, scripts, or similar technologies needed to operate, secure, maintain, and understand use of the Website.

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Website, including pages viewed, referring websites or campaigns, approximate visitor location, device or browser information, and form conversion activity. Plausible is designed to provide aggregated, privacy-focused analytics without using cookies, persistent identifiers, or cross-site tracking. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect our forms and Website against spam, fraud, bots, and other misuse. Turnstile may process certain technical signals from your browser or device for security and bot-detection purposes. If we use Turnstile in invisible mode, this protection may run in the background without displaying a visible CAPTCHA or challenge. We do not currently use advertising pixels, retargeting technologies, or targeted advertising technologies, and we do not use analytics to sell personal information or track visitors across unrelated websites.

You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies, though some parts of the Website may not work properly if you do. If we add advertising, retargeting, or other materially different tracking technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.

Email Communications

If you join our list, you may receive occasional emails from Kindred. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us at the email below. We will honor unsubscribe requests as required by applicable law. You may still receive non-marketing messages, such as replies to your inquiries.
